My family and friends have always told me that I have an eye for finding an amazing deal and making it look like it's worth a million dollars. It's honestly my passion. I am a lawyer by day and a frugal Long Island princess by night. Getting a good deal on an item is what gets me going. Don't get me wrong, I love anything sexual, but getting 40% off an Andrew Marc Leather Jacket....let's just say WOWWWW!!! Sorry unnamed boyfriend...although he has learned my weakness of a great deal.
This being my first time blogging, I figured I would go with a topic that is very near to my heart...looking as hot as I possibly can. It's fair to say that most people (unless you are Natalie Portman, January Jones or the like) look better with a tan. Whether its a tan from vacation, summer, a tanning bed (which I don't recommend), a spray tan or your everyday bronzer...having that brown tint makes you feel that much hotter.
Choosing new makeup products can be thrilling, but it's also pretty scary! You wonder if you are going to have a reaction to the new item you are purchasing or rather if you are simply going to be throwing away money on an item you hate.
So, which brand do you go for? Of course, you can walk into a department store or a big named make up retailer and they will try and sell you a $30 - $50 brand of bronzer, which let's be honest, if put on incorrectly will make you look like Snooki during the first season of the Jersey Shore.
If you can splurge: Nars Laguna Bronzing Powder is the way to go. It retails for $39.00 (plus tax of course) and will last you at least a month, maybe more depending on how much you put on. Ladies, try not to cake the bronzer on, no one likes an orange girl.

Where can you find just as good of a bronzing powder for less you might ask: Any drug store. The brand? NYC. I know, I know, it's that brand you walk past on your way to go pick up your prescription in the back of pharmacy. NYC's Powder named "Sunny" retails for anywhere from $2.50 to $4 (plus tax of course). It has a similar consistency to Nars, but is not as harsh. It is usually the cheapest at Target, but you can find it in any Duane Reade, CVS, Walgreens, etc.

Why not save $30 and try NYC's Sunny Bronzing Powder. Just think, $30 towards your next big splurge...
Some extra little advice when it comes to "bronzing" your skin and getting that fantastic glow. Once upon a time I was a very pale pale girl. In fact, I have been asked how I "changed" my skin tone. This is real life. I used... L'Oreal Sublime Tinted Self Tanning Lotion. This is only to be used after washing your face of all make up. Put a dimed size amount on your hand, rub your hands together and apply to your face making sure that you rub it everywhere (you don't want any lines). Wash your hands immediately and let the lotion dry. You will instantly have a sparkling glow and maybe even a skin tone change. The item retails for anywhere from $9 to $12 (plus tax) and can be found at almost any drugstore.

Lastly, a little trick I passed onto an ex boyfriend of mine (and yes he still uses it). Lumene (a drugstore brand) used to manufacture a bronzing lotion that instantly gave you a fabulous glow like a self tanner, but upon rinsing off one's face, instantly could be washed off. When in drugstores it retailed for about $10 (plus tax), however I believe it can only be found on sites such as amazon for about $15 (plus), possibly more. Bummer because this was one of the best lotions out there!

Hopefully you'll thank me for these cheap tips!! Try not to turn orange and of course, write to me and let me know what you think!!!
Thanks for reading...
Kisses,
